Meet Naila Musharraf Ali, Associate Director of Clinical Trials Disclosure
What do you do at ProPharma? How does your role support improving the health and safety of patients?
As an Associate Director of Clinical Trials Disclosure, my primary focus is to help clients fulfill various global regulatory requirements to disclose clinical trial data through sponsored channels and international registries. I leverage my 10 years of industry experience and provide subject matter expertise and support to ensure clients achieve compliance with all relevant transparency requirements. Meeting these requirements results in greater clinical trial transparency, which benefits patients, researchers, and healthcare systems as a whole.
What is one lesson you've learned in this industry that has most helped you?
The most important lessons I have learned in this industry are:
- All clinical trials, regardless of their complexity, can be broken down into manageable, easily executed components.
- The importance of communication, specifically the use of precise language and simple terms. Because different standards and laws commonly use the same terminology to represent different things, it's important to make sure your audience fully understands your message and that there is no risk that your words will be misunderstood. In my experience, clear and concise communication positively contributes to successful project execution.
What's your number one goal / focus right now?
With the implementation of new laws and policies for transparency around the world, our clients can expect big changes. Thus, my number one goal is to educate and support our clients in the clinical trials disclosure space so they are adequately prepared to navigate those changes. In support of this goal, I am focused on ensuring my team has all the tools and guidance they need to continue performing at a high level to continue providing customized clinical trials disclosure solutions to all ProPharma clients.
Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of work.
Outside of work, I like to bake treats for family and friends. Baking helps me to focus and briefly relax. I also like volunteering my time to organizations that advocate for women and children in various sectors.
